The La Mesa Alvarado Eye Center is an amazing medical center! From my first experience at the front desk, Sandra, was cheerful, patient and very pleasant to interact with. The first medical technician/nurse I met, Brandon, was very friendly and confidant while he explained what my appointment would entail. When I met Dr. Lee Katzman, I was impressed by his professionalism, obvious experience in the field and how quickly he made me comfortable by describing the process and answering my many questions. His assistant, Michelle, was also reassuring and helpful to talk with. At the end of the first appointment, I met and received information regarding costs, etc. from Diane, who was a font of knowledge and easy going at the same time. At my post surgery appointment, I met Vince who answered most of my questions before I even asked them. I was very comfortable with him and found him very helpful. My experience with Alvarado Eye has been only a wonderful experience! I feel completely confidant that Dr. Katzman and his staff are the best eye center in the county and feel extremely lucky to be in their care. I can hardly wait for the second eye surgery! Thanks and kudos to all at Alvarado Eye Center in La Mesa, CA. I recently returned to see Dr Katz and staff to check my vision. Just as two years ago, everyone from the check in and initial prep by medical assistants through Dr Katz’s evaluation and lastly scheduling future appointments, made the time at Alvarado Eye pleasant and I left knowing what was happening. The office is efficiently run and all medical explanations are clear-cut and easily understood. I have had at least a dozen visits with Dr Katz and staff, and everyone one of those has been a positive and successful experience. Kudos to Alvarado Eye in La Mesa, CA.
I am very happy with my eye doctor, Lee Katzman & his medical staff. Not happy that the Alvarado Eye Associates accounting office is still holding onto my checking I wrote on February 23, 2024 in the amount of $1755. They told me when I called about it, they would do their banking on Friday March 8, 2024. Thus far, my check has not cleared my bank account as they have not taken it to the bank yet.
Dr.Katzman and the entire staff went above and beyond to endure I was comfortable and well taken care of excellent customer service. Dr. Katzman took his time and explained my issues, the corrective actions and answered my myriad of questions. If you need an Ophthalmologist, he’s top notch, I highly recommend him and his team.
Not only is Dr Katzman the best at cataract surgery; he replaced my lens and cleaned both lenses with the Yag laser so the cataract that he put in and the other one I had done 4 years ago are both completely clear. Sometimes a film forms on the lens after cataract surgery and my older one had a lot of film so he improved my vision from 20/50 to 20/25. Courtney in the front office took a lot of time to explain my prescription to me and why I was confused after my final eye exam. She should be in the State Department because she has that rare combination of knowledge of what the doctor does in surgery and how the prescription is obtained and a completely patient demeanor to be able to explain it to a patient. I now understand what the. numbers represent on my glasses prescription and why I did not understand it at the time of my exam. What a jewel Miss Courtney is. She took a lot of time with me and was the most professional and kind communicator I think I have ever dealt with in an office or business. Alvarado Eye goes beyond what anyone would expect from a medical office. There never seems to be a person that knows everything and can explain it in doctor’s offices until I met Courtney! 10 stars!
Dr. Katzman is the best! He is always professional and has a smile. He sincerely listens to all your concerns and helps to establish a plan for treatment. Wish more doctors were as caring and took the time to help as he does. I will always stay with Dr. Katzman. I have had his tech Courtney on my last three visits and she is great! Very thourough at her job. She is always happy and very friendly. Thanks for everything. You all are very appreciated.
As a retired surgeon and patient safety consultant, I am happy to report an excellent experience with Dr. Katzman and the NVISION eye center. The cataract extraction and lens implantation, as potentially scary as that may be, went extremely well in both eyes over the past few weeks. The office and surgical center teams were VERY professional, thoughtful, precise, kind, and effective in the way patients hope for. They were personable and prepared me well for the procedures and recovery. I was very comfortable during each procedure and never needed any post-op pain medication. Everything has gone smoothly. It is very reassuring to have a superb ophthalmologist at the helm. Thanks to both teams…you were great!
Dr Lee Katzman is superb! He is caring, engaged and extremely skilled. The techs are wondering. The office is well organized and responsive. Sara, the office manager is a gem. Finally, the surgery center they use in Del Mar for cataract surgery is so professional and well run. Through this entire process with my very complicated eyes, I feel I had the best care possible.
Alvarado Eye is the only place I will go for my vision care. From the minute I enter the office everyone is so friendly…from the front office to Dr. Katzman the experience is wonderful. I had a cataract surgery 5 years ago and I’m seeing 20/20 vision. I have a cataract surgery on my other eye and I’m confident it will be a success.
